I&#...@Camy: you didn't answer his/her question

I've a feeling I did. Kind of...implicitly.

if you haven't then it's getting jolly close to 2012. ;)

Ah, but there's two things to know about the end of the world in 2012.
(1) It's in the mayan calender, not the christian one, and
(2) the mayan calender doesn't end in 2021 - it just goes back to the beginning.

What's a 707 clique anyway?

Big believers in cyclic time, were the mayans.

I like to think it's a small band of loyal users of the TR707 drum machine, the one everyone forgets. The TR808 was the sound of 80s hiphop, the TR909 was the sound of 90s house, but the TR707...with a latin percussion version also available...not so much.

@Eroswings: I've recently been in the company of missionaries--and have had some success in corrupting them ;)

You naughty, naughty man. There's something about someone desperate for everyone else to share their beliefs that just invites toppling. Maybe the obvious fact that they're trying to convince themselves.

the core of Jesus's teachings: to love thy neighbor and treat others the way we would want to be treated.

It's quite a good philosophy. Just not useful for...well, politics.

Buddhist philosophy isn't so far away, but do you suppose Chinese politics are any more peaceful? Don't think so, somehow.Kapitanohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14647896216499813443noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805716.post-82062892758108127582010-08-29T02:08:36.646+01:002010-08-29T02:08:36.646+01:00I've recently been in the company of missionar...I've recently been in the company of missionaries--and have had some success in corrupting them ;)

Seriously, though, I've learned that people who try too hard to change other people's religious (or non religious) beliefs are often the ones who need to examine their own faith and actions. True believers don't need others to validate their beliefs.

And I find it hilarious and hypocritical of so called Christians to claim to be acting in Christian ways when they forget the core of Jesus's teachings: to love thy neighbor and treat others the way we would want to be treated.eroswingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06678990077292314028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7805716.post-29318317377376988292010-08-29T00:56:13.566+01:002010-08-29T00:56:13.566+01:00Umm, you didn't answer his/her question: 707cl...Umm, you didn't answer his/her question: 707clique: Have you accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior, Kapitano?

Becuase if you have all will be well with the world ... and if you haven't then it's getting jolly close to 2012. ;)

What's a 707 clique anyway? Maybe they worship the late great Boeing 707 transcontinental jet.Camyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07177883358479925188noreply@blogger.com
